Like many photographers I am more comfortable behind the camera than in front... However with such a life altering process going on, - creating another human being - I felt I owed it to my little princess to have some pictures taken of me and my hubby, and the ever growing belly.
I am a very creative person but often fail to invest the time in myself, but on this occasion I had decided I was going to do a proper set and styled shoot.
My idea was a winter picnic, and hoped for snow. My prayers came through as I woke up to a true winter wonderland the day of the shoot.
I also wanted to incorporate little gifts the baby received from Australia as well as her first shoes ;-) and bring something vintage - my grandfather who also was a photographer, - his camera onto the set.
Then it was the difficult item, finding something to wear. I wanted something sparkling. Not only because its the fashion now but also because I LOVE love love sparkles! Total sparkle gal, always have been!
And the hat and scarf was knitted by my mom!
I am so happy with the result, Theresia Pauls, who also did our engagement and wedding photos was the obvious choice - check out her website www.tpauls.com or look her up on Facebook or blog spot / Wordpress
