My little basketball player // Lifestyle Photographer Stavanger

As far back as I can remember, there has never been a week with as nice weather as we had last week. The sun was shining, no wind and at least 27 degrees in the shade. 

A rare occurrence for Vigrestad, Norway. 

Fortunately I was on holiday with my little Diva and Coco Puffs and we got to spend some quality time outside in the garden. Their favourite game is playing ball. CoCo runs around whilst the girl throws the ball and giggle. 

I was witnessing this cuteness and ran inside to grab my camera. She was so adorable in her signed # 5 Jamal Wilson, Cairns Taipans jersey.    

My hopes are still alive that she will be playing basketball just like me!

Finding inspiration... Admiring those you know ...

I am very blessed that throughout this journey called life I have met a lot of people. Confessedly I am very bad at keeping in touch but even so, I often carry the memory of them in my heart.

Thanks to social media it is easier to keep track of what is happening in each others lives. Of course some are better at sharing what is going on than others.

One worth mentioning is Rhiannon Johnson, who I came to know through a work colleague and we worked on a couple of promo projects together before I went back to Norway.

This beautiful brunette is a fearless positive creature that made me (finally) believe that training actually will transform your thighs when she posted a ever so honest before and after photo of her own behind!

Now she has set onto a new adventure;

The Minxton Project. 

In a short time the project has gained almost 8 000 likes on facebook with her mission;

And what woman wouldn`t want to join conquering the world?

Keep up the good work girls!!

On the male side of the spectrum I met some really cool guys when I was in India.

A random night out in Goa, where we went in to have one last drink on our way home we got talking to a group of Indians on holiday. If my memory isnt failing me I think we got involved in the conversation through a conversation about arranged marriages and sex before doing so.

The conversation went on to a whole lot of different topics and the group grew and grew - and we had a great laugh, good conversations and possibly too many drinks.

One of the people I got to know this night was a superfit personal trainer from Mumbai.

Like me he had lived in Australia, but despite having a residency to stay there decided to move back home.

He runs a crossfitness gym in Mumbai called Crossfitohm and he has abs that put a whole new definition into ABS!!!

I am so grateful for those who has crossed my path and I so look forward to all my future acquaintances 

Paternity Leave // Stavanger Photographer

I feel ridiculously lonely without my family. 

They are in Korea enjoying bulgogi, cheap beer and cherry blossoms.  

I feel so lucky that my husband has such a great relationship with my parents and my daughter that he can go over there all on his own. 

My husband had hardly ever held a baby before the birth of our daughter. Ironically he was the first to hold her and spend time with her during the first hours of her life.  

The midwives were working on me to try stop the bleeding for hours and although I was pretty out of it I could swear he hardly moved a muscle the whole time in fear of dropping her. 

Fast forward to this year January he suddenly got in charge of her primary care. I started back at work full time whilst he started his paternity leave. 

It has been really amazing to see how much they have bonded in these months that they have spent together. She has become a proper daddy´s girl and I love to see them together.

My Saturday Mornings / Stavanger Photographer

I love being a mom but I must admit some days (or nights) are harder than others. The last few nights our little princess has woken up around midnight and been very angry and reluctant about going back to sleep. Last night was the same, and coupled with a stiff and sore neck and shoulder region accompanied by a migraine it was a rough night and morning.

Now both princess and Daddy are asleep for a nap and the house is quiet and I get a few moments of "ME" time. Coffee in one hand, some delicious chocolate hearts in the other (thanks to my valentine :-) ) and iPad on lap. I'm on pintrest looking through beautiful images and inspiring ideas. Then I switch over to read Instyle Magazine and other fab magazines that I subscribe to. This is my moments. My mome ts of feeding myself with inspiration and ideas, and not focusing on all the million things that should be done...

Hope you take time to do the same!

At this moment...

One year ago at this hour I was in labour.

My little angel came into my world and has forever changed it. 

To the better, of course. 

But this year has brought about many new experiences and many firsts. 

Today was one of those occasions. 

Her first birthday. 

To make life easier on a busy mom I decided that I would do a simple birthday with only the family and godparents who currently reside in Norway. 

It was very sweet and nice. I baked a little, made some mini pizzas and mini burgers. 

We had sparkles and cake with candles.

And in stead of letting the cousins play at home we decided to take a trip up to the studio to play a little there. I wanted to have a couple of memories from the day, in a studio setting. 

We even did a quick family portrait. (Thanks Theresia Pauls )

I said quick:

It was nap time, and she really did not want to do more photos

Det nærmer seg jul

Juletreet er pyntet og pakkene pakket og fint plassert under juletreet. Det er siste søndag i advent og alle lysene er tent.

Jeg sitter her alene og stirrer på herligheten og tenker at jeg er jammen heldig. Heldig som har så mye; et koselig lite hus, en sjønn hund og en herlig familie.

I morgen etter jobb drar jeg ned til Vigrestad for å feire jul sammen med mor og far, besteforeldre, søsken og søskenbarn. Det er den lille prinsessen sin første jul og det skal bli så kjekt!

Rosa sprudlende vin er innkjøpt og jeg er så klar for en avslappende feiring sammen med min fantastiske familie!

Før prinsessen og mannen min tok avgårde sørover i kveld så måtte jeg få et bilde av henne, treet og alle gavene :)

Det er ikke bare bare å være helgemamma!

Her sitter jeg i fred og ro... Vi er helt alene, mannen min og jeg. Det er så rart å tenke på at for mindre enn et år siden var vi alene hver kveld på denne måten. Alene uten barn.

Hverdagen har begynt igjen for meg og jeg er tilbake i full sving på jobb. Jeg mangler både barnehageplass og dagmamma så min lille prinsesse er hjemme hos mine foreldre på Vigrestad om ukedagene. En langt i fra ideell situasjon, men hun lille er fornøyd. Hjertet mitt lengter.

Fant disse bildene fra Australia og nå lengter jeg enda mer. Hun er så glad i musikk og glad i å danse. Da hun fikk låne dette pianoet av søskenbarnet sitt var hun strålende fornøyd. Hun satt der å spilte, danset og studerte bildene.

Det var et perfekt leketøy for henne, men dessverre så klarer jeg ikke finne det her. Jaja, det får bli med minnene.

Pressies von Deutchland

Little Chloe is a lucky girl!! Today she got this big suprise parcel in the mail from her "adopted" grandmother in Germany.

Daddy was helping her unwrapping it, and she was very, very fascinated!! 

In the parcel was a nice little Hello Kitty backpack which filled with cute socks!! 

Awwwee she can have her own little pack when we travel ;-) 

Tantebarnet mitt Maria!

Her flyr dagene og skulle du spurt meg om hva jeg fyller dagene mine med er det jammen ikke lett for meg å svare. Utenom å sitte å fnise og le sammen med min lille engel, blir det tid for en del sosialt samvær.

Over påsken var vi hjemme på Vigrestad sammen med broren min og familien. Med vond rygg og sterke bevegelighetshemmelser ble mesteparten av påsken tilbringt på sofaen. En dag der jeg lå fanget jeg disse snapshotsene av min bror og hans lille datter Maria, - som er to uker på dagen yngre enn min engel :)
