Since as long as I remember I have had trouble sleeping. It is something that is not uncommon in my family, my mother experiences the same and more so my grandmother.
For those of you thinking,"everybody does at times, I would humbly try to explain that it is not laying in bed half an hour before falling to sleep. I am talking about laying in bed for 6 hours trying to sleep. Or going days without sleeping. And although you havent slept, you are still wide awake. Really, not sleepy at all. But you are tired, exhausted, but it is like you have had a million cups of coffee and the brain is super super active.
It is kind of an embarrasing "disease" or disorder.
A quick google of sleeping problems will take you to a site like this http://helpguide.org/life/sleep_disorders.htm
It tells you little hints on how "fix it" but I have tried them all and none of them work.
I dont want to start taking sleeping pills. I dont believe in taking medications and I really dont want to, perhaps somewhat in a fear of becoming "immune to them" when I need them.
So far I have found some help in Valerian tablets 2500.
However, as reported in Wikipedia, there is a danger of apathy and mental dullness/mild depression. When you cant sleep you get those side effects anyways, as well as anxiety, but still, there must be something better? ?? ?
